Brauer and Brockmann Families

History, Biographies, Stories and Photographs

of the

Johann Hinrich Brauer Family

and

Claus Hinrich Brockmann Family

In 1843, Johann Hinrich Brauer, his wife Metta Margaretha Dohrmann, and several of their children left Hanover, Germany for a new life in America.  This Brauer family came to Missouri and settled in the Lake Creek area of Benton and Pettis Counties.  A few years later, the Claus Hinrich Brockmann family also came from Hanover to the Lake Creek settlement.

A publication, The Brauer and Brockmann Families, is being published that will trace these two families - back to the earliest information known about the families in Germany in the 16th and 17th centuries and forward to the generation following the families' arrival in America.  This publication reflect many years of family research done by Leonard Brauer.  He and Sandra Fleak have completed this information along with contributions and pictures from many other family members.  For email inquiries, contact Sandra Fleak.  Orders for this publication should be sent to Leonard Brauer.  Printing is anticipated by early 2003.  Unless we have your paid pre-publication order by December 1, 2002, we cannot guarantee that enough copies will be printed to fill your order.

Only a limited number of copies of The Brauer and Brockmann Families will be published.  Therefore, it is important to prepay to reserve your copies.  Please send the following information along with your payment (check only - made out to "Brauer and Brockmann Families Book") to:
